Job Opening
The Lockwood Group is looking to contingently hire a key personnel Computer Systems Analyst supporting DEVCOM Armaments Center in Picatinny, NJ.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitors servers and applications to ensure high availability, usability, and security.
• Provides server and network administration and other related support, including maintenance and operation of a diverse array of Windows servers and UNIX based systems. Installs and maintains software on the LAN and on user workstations as needed.
• Develops and maintains a working knowledge on a wide range of applications and systems. Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnostics on IP-based local area network in concert with network operations group.
• Monitor Server Operations Foot Prints Queue to address all server and application issues in a timely manner, recording solutions, and escalating tickets as required.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for the Oce Prisma printing system.
• Participate in the pager rotation, ensuring uptime of critical servers, networks, and applications.
• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of monitoring systems to track performance, events, physical environment, security, and age of all systems to increase overall effectiveness.
• Provide second line data backup duties, ensuring tape and disk backup, restore, and off-site tape preparation for Iron Mountain as needed.
• Stay informed regarding department project activities that impact the production environment. Recommend project activity based on problem call trends in Foot Prints. Actively participate in and occasionally lead design efforts/project teams as assigned.
• Develops technical documentation, operational documentation and training materials as requested.
• Assist senior engineers as needed with routine / scheduled change management tasks
• Initiate & Monitor status batch processes.
• Follow operational & management notification and escalation procedures.
• Provide weekly project status reports, indicating activities, accomplishments, outstanding issues, and concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years technical experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of large scale business and technology integration initiatives supporting domestic and global investment processing applications and systems.
• 3+ years “hands-on” experience supporting Domestic and International Corporate Actions processing.
• 5+ years of experience writing technical and business specifications.
• Must have proven success in the prioritization of multiple tasks, teamwork, all forms of communication, and self-motivation.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong problem solver and proven ability to think creatively and seek optimum solutions.
• Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business and financial issues and options.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree required.
