The Lockwood Group is currently pending award on a contract providing tactical network support to the Project Manager Network Modernization program (PdM NetMod). We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to support the program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position will focus on advancing the capabilities of modern networked systems for the Army, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of electrical systems integral to military operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development:

    • Develop and design electrical systems and circuits to support advanced military networking technologies.
    • Create and evaluate technical specifications, schematics, and reports for electrical components.
  2. Integration:

    • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with software and hardware components.
    • Ensure seamless operation and compatibility of electrical systems with existing military infrastructure.
  3. Testing and Validation:

    • Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure they meet required performance standards and specifications.
    • Analyze test data and troubleshoot issues, implementing effective solutions.
  4. Documentation:

    • Prepare detailed documentation for designs, test procedures, and validation reports.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of all electrical engineering activities, changes, and improvements.
  5. Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure all designs and systems comply with military standards and regulations as well as safety protocols.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate cutting-edge solutions.
  6. Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with project managers and other engineers to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.
    • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • BS, min of 10 years of relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and modern networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with military standards and protocols related to networking and communication systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
