The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).
The program ensures tactical network systems remain operationally effective, technologically advanced, and Fully Mission Capable (FMC) in support of Army modernization objectives.
The Senior Systems Integration Engineer provides advanced technical expertise supporting the integration, testing, and sustainment of tactical network hardware and software systems. This role requires deep experience in electrical and systems engineering within DoD weapon systems development environments.
The position supports integration of complex communication systems, evaluates electrical and network performance, and applies independent technical judgment to resolve system-level engineering challenges.
Translate operational and user requirements into system, hardware, and software specifications and designs
Support integration of systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM NetMod and PdM Mission Network
Participate in the development and execution of system and integration test strategies
Apply advanced technical knowledge to resolve complex systems engineering challenges
Perform circuit analysis, waveform calculations, and signal flow tracing across integrated systems
Analyze electrical circuits, power distribution architectures, and system efficiency using mathematical models
Evaluate electromagnetic considerations and system performance characteristics
Identify and resolve system deficiencies during design, integration, testing, and installation phases
Utilize complex diagnostic and test equipment including high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and computer-controlled instrumentation
Support technology insertion and engineering change efforts to maintain Army technological advantage
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
Minimum 5 years supporting the Department of Defense contracting market in major weapon systems product development and acquisition programs
Experience analyzing electrical circuits, power distribution systems, and system efficiency using mathematical modeling
Strong understanding of circuit interrelationships and signal flow
Experience exercising independent technical judgment in complex engineering environments
Active DoD Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience performing Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering activities within tactical network environments
Experience building and testing experimental models of electrical devices
Experience developing schematics and system blueprints with consideration of power requirements, load calculations, and safety regulations
Professional certification such as Certified Technical Professional (CTP), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent
Experience supporting programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground
Ability to remain stationary approximately 50% of the time
Occasional movement within an office environment
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering technical presentations
