The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).
The program ensures tactical network systems remain operationally effective, technologically advanced, and Fully Mission Capable (FMC) in support of Army modernization objectives.
The Systems Integration Technician provides hands-on technical support for the integration, configuration, testing, and sustainment of tactical network hardware and software systems. This role supports system fielding, upgrades, and technology insertion efforts within dynamic military and field-based environments.
The position requires experience working with secure communication networks, integrating new tactical components into existing infrastructures, and ensuring systems are mission-ready following installation or modification activities.
Support integration of systems and equipment fielded or sustained under PdM NetMod and PdM Mission Network
Translate operational requirements into hardware and software configuration support activities
Assist in development and execution of integration and test strategies
Install and load unit-specific configurations and Internet Protocol (IP) settings based on current System Architecture and Lightweight Directory Interchange Format (LDIF) requirements
Maintain working knowledge of Tactical Network hardware and software systems supporting large-scale battlefield communications
Support integration of new tactical network components into existing infrastructures
Assist with managing network connectivity across platforms including ground vehicles, airborne assets, and command centers
Ensure systems achieve and maintain Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status following fielding, reset, or upgrade
Bachelor of Science degree
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Systems Technician or performing Systems Engineering-related activities
Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining secure communication networks in military or field-based environments
Experience integrating tactical network components with existing infrastructure
Active DoD Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Minimum 3 years supporting systems engineering technologies within the Department of Defense
Familiarity with network protocols, routing technologies, data link layers, and encryption mechanisms
Experience with embedded systems testing, integration testing, or systems-level testing
Familiarity with simulation tools used to evaluate system performance
Experience with hardware interfacing (analog/digital converters, sensors, actuators)
Ability to obtain DoD 8570/8410 IAT Level II certification
Experience supporting programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground
Ability to remain stationary approximately 50% of the time
Occasional movement within an office environment
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering technical information
