The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).
The program ensures tactical network systems remain secure, compliant, and operationally resilient in support of Army modernization and mission readiness.
The Information Security Analyst supports cybersecurity and information assurance activities for tactical network and C5ISR systems. This role monitors, analyzes, and mitigates security risks across networked environments while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense security standards and accreditation requirements.
The position requires experience with DoD information assurance processes, vulnerability assessment, and network defense tools within structured and regulated environments.
Provide security support for network and advanced computing environments
Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity and potential security breaches
Analyze data collected from Computer Network Defense (CND) tools, including intrusion detection systems, firewall logs, and host-based monitoring tools
Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and support incident response activities
Identify system weaknesses and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk
Support compliance with Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
Assist in preparation of documentation supporting certification and accreditation or Certification of Networthiness efforts
Coordinate with Government Information Assurance Managers and related stakeholders
Deliver technical briefings and communicate findings to program leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Science or related technical discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum 3 years supporting Department of Defense information management or information assurance activities
Information Assurance (IA) trained and certified in accordance with DFARS requirements
Understanding of network protocols and security principles
Experience with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM platforms)
Experience conducting vulnerability scanning and supporting penetration testing efforts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Active DoD Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience supporting tactical network or C5ISR systems
Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
Experience participating in simulated cyberattack exercises
Basic understanding of scripting or programming
Experience implementing and updating enterprise security systems
Experience supporting programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground
Ability to remain stationary approximately 50% of the time
Occasional movement within an office environment
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering technical presentations
