Status: Full-Time. Salary Range 77-128k

Project Overview – PTSS C5ISR Hardware & Software Program

The Lockwood Group supports a C5ISR hardware and software program for a U.S. Army customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This effort provides product technical support services for systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN), Program Executive Office C3T (PEO C3T).

The program ensures tactical network systems remain operationally effective, technologically advanced, and Fully Mission Capable (FMC) in support of Army modernization objectives.


Position Overview

The Systems Integration Engineer provides advanced technical expertise supporting the integration, testing, and sustainment of tactical network hardware and software systems. This role requires deep experience in electrical and systems engineering within DoD weapon systems development environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate operational and user requirements into system, hardware, and software specifications and designs

  • Support integration of systems and equipment produced, fielded, modified, or sustained under PdM NetMod and PdM Mission Network

  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.
  • Participate in the development and execution of system and integration test strategies

  • Identify and resolve system deficiencies during design, integration, testing, and installation phases


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years supporting the Department of Defense contracting market in major weapon systems product development and acquisition programs

  • Experience using mathematical models to analyze electrical circuits, power distribution, and system efficiency.
  • Understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and experience exercising independent judgment in making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments.
  • Experience identifying and resolving problems within electrical systems during design, testing, or installation phases. 
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and testing experimental models of electrical devices to evaluate functionality and performance. 
  • Experience creating schematics and blueprints for electrical components and systems within a project, considering factors like power requirements, load calculations, and safety regulations. 
  • Professional certification such as Certified Technical Professional (CTP), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent
  • Experience supporting programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground
