The job of the Senior Logistician is the on-site lead responsible for inventorying and cataloging PEO IEW&S systems located at various CONUS locations. 
The locations include Sierra Army Depot; Elizabeth City, NC; Salinas, TX; Encino, TX; Huntsville, AL; Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Tobyhanna, PA along with other future sites.

  • Serve as the primary on-site lead accountable for tracking of all inventory for the project.
  • Perform supply/inventory management-program functions including, but not limited to, determination of requirements, disposition of excess property, provide reconciliation of inventory balances with physical counts and other supply functions.
  • Maintain 100% accountability over inventories of all program assets over the course of the program.
  • Maintain control of government property records and constantly monitor.
  • Report loss, damage or destroyed Government property (LDDR) appropriately.
  • Use varied approaches to resolve or collaborate on project or program issues.
  • Work independently, often under high-pressure situations and with minimal direct supervision, to creatively problem-solve and quickly develop complex solutions for logistics problems in order to facilitate quick resolution.
  • Facilitate cooperative interactions with site management teams intra-theatre.
  • Receive, catalogue and inventory items.
  • Continuous interaction, communication and reporting to the ILS Lead.
  • Capture and report inventory management data on a regular basis or individual basis as requested.
  • Have working knowledge of basic functionality and knowledge of PEO IEW&S systems.
  • Travel to Sierra Army Depot; Elizabeth City, NC; Salinas, TX; Encino, TX; Huntsville, AL; Yuma Proving Ground, AZ; Tobyhanna, PA along with other future sites.

  • BS degree and 6+ years of directly related logistics experience or 8 years of overall logistics experience without a degree.
  • Knowledge of Army C4ISR systems especially PEO IEW&S systems
  • Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing an overall program logistics management program.
  • Knowledge of logistics systems, methods and facilities management procedures. Ability to apply information technology solutions to improve or facilitate the programs overall operation.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Exercise inventory management and cataloging functions to include record maintenance, accountability storage and disposal functions.
  • Recommend and asses procedural changes to improve the overall inventory management and cataloging process.
  • Implement internal control procedures to prevent fraud, waste and abuse.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including (but not limited to) Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both internal to Lockwood and external (military/government customer, etc), both written and oral
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making ability and sound judgment with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work long hours for extended periods of time when necessary.
  • Must be a US Citizen with a current US Passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Be willing to travel for long periods of time, work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice.
  • Have a minimum active Secret clearance or have the ability to earn one.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

  • Army logistics experience at the Unit, Battalion, or Property Book level.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency with using the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP).
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in implementation of industry best practices for logistics/inventory management and compliance with contract/government requirements.
