Operations Lead

Philadelphia, PA
The Lockwood Group is growing rapidly and currently seeking an Operations Lead to manage Corporate Operational priorities and serve as a key intermediary with the Account Management team.
 
This opening is a great opportunity for self-motivated candidates with growth ambitions to take their skills to the next level and will be a key resource for the organization to ensure we deliver world class services to our customers!

The candidate can live within 60 miles of the following company locations: Belcamp, MD or Philadelphia, PA or Huntsville, AL.
 
This position will report to the COO and be directly responsible for:
• Manage and drive activity within the company’s operational groups
• Serve as intermediary from Company Executives to all operational groups
• Run weekly and monthly meetings with operational leadership
• In conjunction with COO set strategic objectives for the operational groups which are assessed and measured during monthly meetings with operational groups
• Help to create a corporate KPI dashboard and provide KPI reporting during company monthly and quarterly reviews.
• Serve as intermediary between Account Managers and Program Management staff 
• Help to develop and mature existing processes and procedures
• Help in the development of Lockwood’s Enterprise Resource Planning tool Unanet
• Problem solve as directed by the CEO and COO
• Develop ad-hoc spreadsheets and tools for business analysis

The OPS Manager must be fiercely protective of time – not only for their principal, but also for their teams and themselves. Effective use of everyone’s time should be the lens through which many decisions are made in this role.
Empower others (don’t do the work for them)
The job is to properly equip and empower others to do their own jobs, not do the job for them. There are certainly opportunities to play the role of “gap filler” when interim support is needed, but not for the long term. This is an essential facet of the role and an important one to learn. 
Build bridges, not barriers
Work to build bridges. How do they work to focus people on their common goals rather than their differences? Sometimes we must remind all that we play for the same team.

Experience Required
Seeking self-motivated candidates with 5-10 years of operations or project management experience and an independent mindset to organize and execute workload.
