Science & Technology Lead (JM or SR)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Candidate will be required to assist the PdM TMC Chief Engineer manage the transition planning of all Science and Technology projects that are in development external to TMC, to facilitate requirements tracing, transition planning, technical integration, funding requirements, and programmatics. 
  • The S&T lead candidate will be responsible for representing PdM TMC in all S&T meetings and reviews, to include working group-level meetings to senior-leader status briefings.
  • Candidate will be required to trace the S&T project requirements to CPCE/TSI programmatic JCIDS requirements to determine applicability. 
  • Candidate will need to have a working understanding of current and future technologies and how those technologies can impact the program of record in the areas of materiel development, logistics/product support, fielding, cost, and schedule. 
  • The candidate will need to conduct informal market research on the latest trends in computer hardware, software virtualization, and advanced commercial server technologies.
  • Candidate will be required to summarize complex technical information and prepare briefing documents for presentation to PdM and PM leadership. 
  • Candidate must be highly organized to maintain accountability of all S&T efforts and contribute to an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). 
  • Candidate will be required to maintain regular and recurring communications with external organizations and their development cycles. 
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of RDTE funding Budget Activities (1-7) and Technology Readiness Level definitions and assessments. 
  • Candidate will be required to assume duties as the PdM expert on S&T efforts.
  • Candidate will interface with external organizations and represent PdM TMC in discussions with Government & Contractor stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least 5 years of experience supporting either a US Military Project Office, Lifecycle Management Center, Major Command, or equivalent experience in the US Military.
  • Secret Clearance
  • 5 Years of experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline acceptable, but STEM-related field would be preferred.  Extensive civilian or military experience in related positions can substitute for bachelor’s degree for high-performing individuals.
