Position Summary
The Lockwood Group is growing rapidly with the award of major prime contracts supporting Department of Defense customers across multiple geographic regions and we are currently seeking a highly motivated Chief of Staff to join our Executive and Operational team. From day one, the Chief of Staff will have an immediate impact on our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, improving management effectiveness, and helping to execute priorities between departments.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business administrative role with a special focus on executive-level advising, support to business execution and interdepartmental collaboration. Ultimately, the primary function of this role is to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout company operations for their executive leaders.

Objectives of this Role

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Executive team to progress strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution
  • Assist the executive and leadership team to determine and prioritize business strategies in alignment to their schedules maximizing time and efficiency
  • Direct administrative support to CEO and President for decision-making, management, and initiative implementation
  • Review, design, and execute on improvements to organizational efficiencies
  • Document core processes where they don’t exist and improve core processes where they do
  • Coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Set up dashboard to report key performance indicators to the executive team weekly and monthly
Daily and Monthly Accountabilities
  • Roll up your sleeves and be prepared to provide Administrative and Operational support to executives and management team.
  • Liaison with staff, executive and leadership team to execute individual tasks and priorities
  • Execute daily operations through collaboration with the Executive team and department leaders, performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence
  • Build and develop relationships with all employees of the company for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with our EVP and executive teams on special projects
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications

  • Background in processes and standards related ISO, CMMI and PMI is preferred

Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration or similar field
  • 5 years in a business administration role
  • Proven success in an administrative or coordination of strategic objectives
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form with a strong focus on interdepartmental communication
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
  • Strong business reporting skills
