Overview
The Lockwood Group is currently pursuing a contract providing program management and R&D Support Services for Analytics Solution to Establish Real-Time Operational Information Dominance (ASTEROID) programs. We are seeking a Digital Engineering Lead for our Army customer located at APG, MD. .

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Support the full life cycle engineering of enterprise-scale hardware and software systems for distributed military intelligence systems, utilizing multiple programming languages, data persistence platforms, and architectural modeling tools.
  • Lead efforts to bring together sub-elements of software components to form a holistic solution as well as lead utilizing modern software development processes, to include industry-standard developer operation models applying CI and deployment capabilities; object-oriented development, modularization, and containerization methodologies; and distributed processing and data analytic platforms.
  • Lead efforts for translating operational requirements into the detailed software/system technical requirements and refactor engineering facilitating the integration of COTS products into software/system architectures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of (7) years of experience in the design, integration, and analysis of military systems with data modelling, data architecture, data interoperability, and evaluation.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience leading digital transformation initiatives with big data platforms and solutions and cloud-based development on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience implementing data model concepts, data taxonomies, and data ontologies to classify enterprise data.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience designing and implementing decoupled cloud-based solutions supporting big data and data analytics using Modular Open systems Architecture.
  • Experience with designing, developing, and implementing cloud migration strategies.
  • Active certification as a Cloud Professional Solution Architect.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cisco Certification above the Entry Level series (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate, (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)).
  • Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Certification Consortium (ISC2).
  • Minimum of (4) years of experience leading a collocated and matrix workforce for diverse portfolios through the development, production, fielding, sustainment, and follow-on improvement of intelligence or other combat capabilities to ensure the integration and interoperability of combat systems.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience with data engineering, data synchronization, data replication, and interoperability for complex systems leveraging industry standard tools such as ERWIN Data Modeler, MagicDra Unified Modeling Language (UML), MS Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle, HADOOP, HIVE, MongoDB, MS Transact-SQL (TSQL), and MS Procedural Language-SQL (PLSQL).
  • Active certification as a Cloud ML Specialty Architect.
  • Active certification as a Cloud Associate Solution Architect.
