Overview
The Lockwood Group currently supports a contract providing program management and R&D Support Services for Analytics Solution to Establish Real-Time Operational Information Dominance (ASTEROID) programs. We are seeking a Sr. Technical Writer for our Army customer located at APG, MD.

The Technical Writer is the program’s communicator to transfer technical information to artifacts such as manuals, white papers, design specifications, project plans, test plans, and proposals. They will interface and coordinate with the technical and management teams, as well as all levels of government stakeholders, to verify that strategies and products are effectively communicated.


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating and editing assigned technical documentation including manuals, white papers, design specifications, project plans, test plans, and proposals.
  • Interface and coordinate with the technical management teams for documentation reviews to ensure all material represents information that is tailored for the intended audiences.
  • Incorporate feedback into materials as required.
  • Manage distribution of technical materials to program stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 10 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree.  .
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects for multiple team members.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience interfacing with technical, management and government stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience supporting Army or other DoD customers/programs highly desired.
  • Advanced level of experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Online and offline research skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required (English or Technical Writing).
  • An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret SCI clearance is required.
  • Travel up to 25% desired
