The Lockwood Group is seeking a Financial Analyst with experience providing budget/cost data analysis for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition activities. You will assist with a wide variety of business data analysis efforts, including the determination of analytical requirements, the collection/study of required data, and the development of graphs and charts to visual analysis results and recommendations. This position will be filled at an Army program office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledgeable in the development of data metrics and analytical approaches required for the financial management of DoD programs and activities.
- Strong understanding of business data analysis and methodologies, including the ability to leverage business analytical tools like Power BI.
- Have understanding of business data analytics allows you to communication your findings to leadership, providing them critical information on business trends and predictions to ensure needed decisions are made for the financial planning and management of DoD programs and organizations.
- Works directly with clients and project/business leaders to identify analytical requirements.
- Analyzes financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data.
- Compiles analytical financial reports for managers.
- Develops graphs and charts through data aggregation or statistical analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a BA/BS Diploma in a business field and 3 years or more of relevant experience in program/business analytics.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Must have an active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
