The Lockwood Group has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician supporting BCCS at Fort Campbell, KY. This position requires someone with a current and active secret clearance.

Primarily supports software family of systems - Mission Command/Tactical Mission Command (MC/TMC) including the following systems: Tactical Mission Command (TMC), including Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Battle Command Common Services Server (BCCS) and Global Command and Control System-Army (GCCS-A). Specializes in supporting Battle Command Common Services Server (BCCS).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Battle Command Common Services Server (BCCS) Field Service Technician:

  • Employing systems engineering management expertise in the area of fault management, configuration management, performance management, and security management. 

  • Planning and ensuring disaster recovery of various operating systems is conducted as needed. 

  • Responsible for coordinating with local network authority to ensure assigned C5ISR Families of Systems are in compliance with local security policy and configuration standards. 

  • Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations. 

  • Responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.

  • Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.

  • Ensures highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifies possible solutions, and works with developers to implement those fixes. 

  • Responsible for Maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies. Writes and maintains custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

  • May participate in the design of information and operational support systems. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A.A./A.S. and 2+ years of experience.

  • Experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain an active Secret Clearance.

  • Security+ certification required before start date.

  • Expertise as a subject Matter Expert for Microsoft Windows Client/Server software, Linux server, VMWare applications, and other associated software applications/products deployed in diverse/complex environments across the CECOM area of operations. 

  • Should possess expert knowledge of client and server software interaction including web-based application design, support, and integration.
