Job Opening
The Operations Support Specialist at DEVCOM plays a pivotal role in facilitating the seamless coordination and execution of daily tasks and initiatives within the Headquarters. This position requires a candidate with a keen understanding of both business and military operations, capable of efficiently tracking, coordinating, and following through numerous taskers received by the Headquarters on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tasker Tracking: Receive, prioritize, and track taskers issued to DEVCOM Headquarters, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  2. Coordination: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather required information, documents, and updates for tasker completion.
  3. Follow-through: Monitor tasker progress and deadlines, providing regular updates to relevant parties and taking necessary actions to ensure completion.
  4. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of tasker status, correspondence, and outcomes for reference and reporting purposes.
  5. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of tasker responses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with DEVCOM objectives and standards.
  6. Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to taskers, providing timely and informative responses.
  7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tasker management processes and implement efficient solutions to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  8. Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to staff members on tasker management protocols, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Military Science, or related field.
  • Previous experience in administrative support, operations coordination, or similar roles, preferably within a military or defense-related environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and task management software.
  • Understanding of military organizational structure, processes, and terminology is preferred.
  • Active Secret clearance
