We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tactical Network Engineer to support the Army's Tactical Network operations in APG, MD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure to ensure the seamless and secure communication of critical information across various tactical environments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, configure, and deploy tactical network solutions to support Army operations in diverse and challenging environments.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet operational needs.
  3. Implement and manage network security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with established standards.
  4. Conduct network performance monitoring and analysis to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring optimal network performance.
  5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve network-related problems and minimize downtime.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration guides.
  7. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network capabilities and efficiency.
  8. Participate in field exercises and training events to test and validate network infrastructure under simulated operational conditions.
  9. Collaborate with external vendors and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and capabilities into the tactical network environment.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on tactical network operations, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.


Basic Qualifications:
Must have 8-10 years of experience or equivalent Bachelor's + 4-6 yrs. related experience, or MS + 2-4 yrs. experience
Experience managing a large enterprise network
Experience including LAN and WAN technologies based on Cisco hardware and platforms
Experience and expertise in system architecture, planning, design, engineering, network management, operations and support of medium to large multi-services enterprise IP network which cover a regional to global geography

Special Requirements
Candidates must have an active US Secret Clearance
Willingness to work flexible hours
