Job Opening
The Lockwood Group is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Project Manager Tactical Network program for our Army customer in Fort Cavazos, TX.

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
​​​​​​​
  • Knowledge of the transmission aspects of the WIN-T SATCOM System Architecture and interfaces to INC1 and INC2 architecture, including implementation of the physical network as it relates to these architectures. This includes Baseband and NetOps and interfaces to INC1, INC2, and DoDIN.
  • Knowledge of virtualized environments (VMware), testing automation, baseband equipment (to include but not limited to: routers, switches, servers, computers, IP telephony), SATCOM networks (military and commercial satellite communications).
  • Provide engineering support to configure, modify and operate software baselines to include software installation, network configuration and system administration.
  • Coordinate all testing of software baselines. Keep T2C2 Lead Systems Engineer and other team leaders informed of key issues as required, support team members in execution of tasks.
  • Provide engineering support to maintain test equipment in labs and run lab experiments.
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures and documentation to support various stages of testing
  • Ability to operate systems as required with little or no help from developers or other engineering staff.
  • Ability to work seamlessly with the engineering team (IA, Network, SATCOM), developers, configuration managers and logistics personnel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the WIN-T software baseline and its requirements, to verify the software will integrate seamlessly with the WIN-T software architecture
  • Position involves understanding all user requirements, architecture compliance, key elements, issues and general technical support and coordination.
  • Ability to perform test analysis on complex project requirements
  • Responsible for resolving complex issues identified during testing
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows software and architecture, Cisco Networking equipment or architecture, including routers, switches, and firewalls, and VMWare ESXi

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance
